What are The Types of Turkish Passport?

Turkish passports are divided to several types according to the needs and specialization of the Turkish citizen, and they are:

1. Regular Passport (Red):

It is the passport issued by the Turkish government to any citizen in Turkey in other words to the public and it has a red color, also, the foreigner who obtained the Turkish citizenship can obtain it directly and benefit from its various advantages, this passport is issued by the Directorates of the population of the Ministry of the Interior, or from the Turkish consulates abroad.

2. Private Turkish Passport (Green):

It is a type of the passport issued to certain people who served the state with some certain conditions, like former  parliament members, minsters, government officials, former attorneys, bank employees, and athletes, this passport can enter more than 160 countries without a visa.

3. Diplomatic Turkish Passport (Black):

Turkish government grants this passport to diplomatic officials, it is a type of international identity issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, consulates, and embassies of the Turkish state, which gives special privileges to its holder.

4. Service Turkish Passport (Gray):

The gray passport is one of the passports issued to those working abroad, but for the Turkish government through a mission or an organization or any work related to Turkey, the holder of this passport does not pay any tax fees, but they cannot use it for tourism purposes.

Steps to Obtain the Turkish Passport:

1. Obtaining an appointment from the official website to the General Directorate of Population.
2. Paying the passport extraction fees through the mail centers PTT and keeping the payment receipts.
3. Going to the appointment.
4. After about 10 days the passport will arrive to your home address from the Turkish mail PTT.

Documents Required to Extract the Turkish Passport:

1. One biometric personal image.
2. Passport fees payment receipt.

What is the cost of obtaining a Turkish passport?

The cost of the passport varies depending on the validity period that the citizen needs:

1. 6 months passport cost 535 Turkish Liras.
2. One tear passport cost 675 Turkish Liras.
3. Two years passport cost 956 Turkish Liras.
4. Three years passport cost 1275 Turkish Liras.
5. Ten years passport cost 1705 Turkish Liras.
